An Evening with Josh Mitcham - 5/04/25 - 6:30 start

Submitted by Fiona on

While definitely Country, Josh Mitcham lands in a middle ground between country and roots-rock. Stacked vocals and ambient guitars tinged with fiddle and steel.

Still not really “mainstream country radio” but not a old-time mountain murder ballad either (but those are awesome!) Mitcham definitely has his own voice, as his songs are indeed familiar to the style of his former groups, but without an attempt to please Nashville or the hipsters; but he might just have a little something here for all of them.

Recording in the 100 year old barn on his family farm, Mitcham has crafted music that sets him apart from a lot of the trendy music hash-tagging onto the Kentucky music train these days. His music says that he's seen a few things. He's lived a little more than most.
Local talent, Katie Howells, will be supporting with a short set to celebrate her newly released EP. She has relaxing and chill vibe.
