Build Me Up Buttercup is a cider made from the early season fruit from Prospect Orchard. Zingy, bright and bold. A celebration of our beautiful orchard and the incredible biodiversity of the land.

Prospect Orchard is a unique biodiverse hotspot consisting of museum orchard and diverse orchard meadow. The museum orchard is planted with over 450 types of apple and 60 varieties of pear growing at an altitude of 1150 feet in the Cambrian Mountains. As part of the orchard management, we have been encouraging an orchard meadow polyculture of mixed grasses and perennial and annual wildflowers, which supports wide range of birds, moths, bees, butterflies, bats and other animals.

With careful orchard management, we have been turning a what was a monoculture of grass used for sheep grazing into a diverse flower meadow that supports a wide range of species, and creates a haven for both wildlife and humans, as well as producing an exceptional apple crop that goes to make fantastic natural ciders.

Thank you to @studiomayfly for choosing the Accidental Arts & Ecology Centre for her artist residency, and for creating the wonderful artwork for this label.
